7) Supplemental Recruitment Initiatives.
(a) Initiative: Radio Marketing Presentation at Delaware Technical and Community College
The Sales Manager for Great Scott Broadcasting’s Delmarva stations gave a radio marketing presentation and spoke to students in an Entrepreneurship class at Delaware Technical and Community College in Georgetown Delaware on March 12, 2013. Students were able to learn about careers in broadcasting and marketing and were able to ask questions of the Sales Manager about his job in radio.
(b) Initiative: Management-Level EEO Training
The management-level staff of Great Scott Broadcasting participated in an EEO Policy Training telephone conference call on April 4, 2012. Participating staff included the Owner/CEO, General Manager, Director of Engineering, Business Manager, all station Program Directors, and the EEO Program Director. Training was conducted by two attorneys from the Lerman Senter PLCC law firm. The primary foci of the training session were the substance of and the record-keeping practices entailed by the FCC’s EEO requirements with respect to recruitment for filling vacancies, supplemental recruitment initiatives, and periodic self-assessment.
